Immunoglobulin / Fc-Related
Immunoglobulin/Fc-related proteins include antibody molecules and their Fc fragment receptors. Antibodies specifically bind antigens through their variable regions, whereas the Fc region interacts with Fc receptors to mediate effector functions such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), complement activation, and phagocytosis. These molecules are the core mediators of humoral immunity and also serve as the foundational platform for the development of therapeutic antibody drugs.
