Background	LY86 is highly expressed in B-cells, monocytes and tonsil. This protein may cooperate with CD18 and TLR4 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and cytokine production. It is important for efficient CD18 cell surface expression. Recombinant human LY86 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli.
