Background	Heat Shock Factor Protein 2 (HSF2) belongs to the HSF family of transcription factors that bind specifically to the heatshock promoter element and activate transcription. In higher eukaryotes, HSF is unable to bind to the HSE unless the cells are heat shocked. HSF2 is widely expressed in many cells and tissues. HSF2 is located on Cytoplasmic during normal growth. But when it is activited, HSF2 moves to the nucleus.
